Antique map from "Nouvel Atlas Portatif, comprenant le Geographie Universelle, Ancienne et Moderne…" by M. Herisson, fourth edition, 1816. Includes the United States after the Louisiana Purchase and before the boundaries were settled with Mexico and Canada.Texas and California were part of Mexico, Russia owned Alaska, and Florida was owned by Spain. Original hand-coloring. Very good antique condition with minor signs of age including slight toning and some tiny spots/foxing. Map measures approximately 7" x 9.5" (H x W) to the neatline and 8.25 x 10 inches to the paper edges.
