Full title: Plate 80. Campaign maps (1 to 11 inclusive) exhibiting the line of march of the 20th Corps from Savannah, Ga. to Goldsborough, N.C., 1865 including Engagement near Bentonville, NC, March 19th 1865 and Battle of Black River, N.C., March 16th, 1865 / Taylor's Store, Ala. and Surrounding Country. Antique lithograph by Julius Bien & Co published in the Atlas to Accompany the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies published under the direction of the Hon. Daniel S. Lamont, Secretary of War, 1893. The atlas was published as a companion piece to the Official Records of the American Civil War. It contains maps and other images derived from materials generated by both Union and Confederate military personnel during the American Civil War. The atlas was printed in 35 parts between 1891 and 1895. Printed color indicates topography and Union or Confederate locations. Very good condition with image transfer, a few minor spots/stains and a touch of foxing, and some staining and wear to the paper edges. This sheet has minor paper loss in upper margin. Measures approx. 16 x 27 inches to the outer border lines.
