Antique print showing various spheres and compass roses, published by Bonne circa 1780. The spheres show the various lines and measurements of the earth. They are: the sphere of Ptolemy showing the earth tilted on its axis, the right sphere where the earth is on its side with the poles on the left and right, and the parallel sphere where the poles are directly north and south. The two compass roses show the names of the winds used at sea and the names of the winds used in the Mediterranean Sea. Original hand coloring. Center fold as issued. Overall good to very good antique condition with a few minor stains and some toning. Measures approx. 13 x 17.25 inches to the neatline.
