Antique hand-colored map, from Mitchell's "New Universal Atlas, Containing Maps of the Various Empires, Kingdoms, States and Republics of the World, With a Special Map of Each of the United States, Plans of Cities, etc.", 1850. With inset showing the Profile of the Pennsylvania Canal. Four tables show the distances of steamboat routes. Includes canals, early railroads, towns, cities, etc. Fair to good overall antique condition, with some image transfer from the map on the opposite page in the atlas. Measures approx. 16 x 13 inches.
