Illustrated pictorial map of the United States of America by Ernest Dudley Chase, 1941. Includes dozens of architectural, natural, and commercial images and descriptions. Here are a handful of examples: state houses, Independence Hall in Philadelphia, a typical Cape Cod cottage, Carillon Tower at Duke University, Old Faithful, The Alamo, Yosemite Falls, Mount Vernon, the Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City, and many more. Good antique condition, this map was mounted onto a board, as was common practice at the time. It has some toning/ darkening from the mounting process. Color is somewhat faded. It is currently framed in an old frame without glass. Map is approx. 21 x 28 inches. This map appears to have been signed by Ernest Dudley Chase, but the signature below the title is under the frame.
