Printed color pictorial map of Sierra County, California, by Phil Newberg, 1949, published as a folding map by the Sierra County Chamber of Commerce. The map is surrounded by photos and information about the area, with more text on the verso. The map is filled with amusing illustrations that highlight the outdoor activities of the area, including a fisherman who hooked the seat of his own pants and a hunter who doesn't realize the deer is behind him! Very good condition with folds as issued, and some wear at the fold intersections. Approx. 17 x 22 inches to the paper edges.
