Antique printed color pictorial map of the Bahama Islands with insets of the Island of New Providence and the city of Nassau published in 1951 by George Annand. Features vingettes of pirates, the native straw market, and Coulmbus' ships at the location of his landfall. Also shows the British currency in use on the Island of New Providence and the many types of fish to be found the the seas nearby. This map was likely used to promote tourism as it proclaims "It's June year 'round in the Bahamas" and specifically points out local activities to engage in. The lower left of the map is filled with a cartouche showing the island's connection to Britain through its flags, badge, and coat of arms. Good to very good overall antique condition with some water stains and soiling along the left side and three small tears that have been closed with archival tape. approx. 20 x 22 inches Priced as-is. **SOLD**
