Antique printed color pictorial maps of London, drawn by Leslie George Bullock and published by John Bartholomew & Son ltd, c. 1950. This charming map features many fairy tales, legends and rhymes in the illustrated borders (old lady in a shoe, Gog and Magog the giants who were guardians of the city and in another story became the hills of Cambridgeshire, Jack and Jill, Old King Cole, and many more). Vibrant original printed color. The map includes streets, buildings illustrated pictorially, the coats of arms of various places, quotes relating to London from children's rhymes and stories, and more. Good antique condition with folds as issued and some wear and small separations along the folds at the paper edges. Some minor spots and stains. Measures approx. 21 x 29 inches to the neatline.
