Antique map of the USA showing "A Pictorial History of American Aviation by Albert Richard Sportswear", compliments of Cleland Simpson Co. The Globe Store, by F.E. Cheeseman, 1943. A vibrant celebration of aviation, with particular interest in aviation related to the war, as this was published towards the end of World War 2. It includes significant historical notes as well as insignia and a variety of different aircraft. This Cheeseman map was commissioned by Albert Richard Sportswear and subsequently available to other businesses as a marketing tool. Images of men's coats are on the back of the paper. A desirable and rare map, it is in very good antique condition with bright original color. Minor signs of age include slight darkening in the upper left and a mild crease on the right side. Some minor wear at the paper edges. Measures approx. 17 x 22 inches.
