Antique map of the Eastern Hemisphere from the Atlas Encyclopedique by Bonne and Desmarest, 1787. The title translates to "World map on a horizontal plane, located at 45 degrees Latitude North, Eastern Hemisphere." This map reflects new information from Cook's voyages including musch of the coast of Australia. With a diagram showing the effect of gravity and a sphere oblique. Very good condition with toning, some minor spots, minor image transfer. Measures approx. 9.25 x 13.25 inches to the neatline.
