Antique map published in the Documentary History of the State of New York, by Richard H. Pease, 1849. Old Fort Niagara, located in Youngstown, NY, at the mouth of the Niagara River on Lake Ontario, is a premier historic destination featuring 18th-century buildings, including the oldest 1726 French "Castle". It served as a strategic military post during the French & Indian War, American Revolution, and War of 1812. Black and white steel engraving. Could be hand-colored by our professional artist for an additional $20. Image measures approx. 4.75 x 6.25 inches, while the paper is approx. 9 x 11.25 inches. Very good antique condition with some small spots in the margin, slight waviness to the antique paper.
