High-quality hand-printed and hand colored reproduction of an antique print of a British ships Jason and Ruby, as well as several French ships taken by the British on May 3rd, 1747. The ships were captured by the British in the First Battle of Cape Finisterre. Made using a combination of modern technology and traditional methods, wherein an original is scanned, its likeness is digitally etched onto an engraving plate, then the plate is used to print the image in the traditional way, with a printing press. It is then hand-colored. Has some imperfections in the paper to make it look more authentic. Approx. 18 x 23 inches to the border line.
