Antique uncolored copper plate map of part of South America, including modern day Colombia, Venezuela, and parts of surrounding countries, from Allain Manesson Mallet's "Description de l'Univers" published in 1683. This interesting map shows rivers, mountains, cities including Cartagena, Bogota, etc. Shows the areas of various native peoples. Very good antique condition with some very mild smudges. The verso text is slighly visible. Measures approx. 5.5 x 3.75 inches to the neatline and 8.5 x 5.5 inches to the paper edges.
