Antique uncolored copper plate map of southern South America, including modern day Chile, Peru, and Argentina, from Allain Manesson Mallet's "Description de l'Univers" published in 1683. This interesting map shows rivers, cities including Santiago, Serena, Concepcion, and the Mer Magellanique. Very good antique condition. The verso text is slighly visible. Measures approx. 5.5 x 3.75 inches to the neatline and 8.5 x 5.5 inches to the paper edges.
