Antique blue back nautical chart published by James Imray & Son in 1890 and corrected to 1891. This chart is part of a series of charts used to navigate the western route to China for the China Trade. It shows the South of China including Hong Kong, Hainen, Haikou, Hanoi and much of the coast of Vietnam. This chart was bound at the edges with fabric, which has protected the edges of the chart. Tightly rolled. Very good condition with some mild stains mostly at the bottom edge, some slight tears, and other minor signs of age. Slight horizontal bend with some cracking at edges in lower portion. This chart appears to have been professionally restored. It will frame beautifully but may require some flattening.
