Antique double-sided sheet from Tunison's Peerless Universal Atlas of the World, c. 1888 by H.C. Tunison. The two-page centerfold is a map of Southern Texas with an inset map of the western portion of Texas. There are two prints on the back: on one side is a map of Minnesota, on the other side is a map of Wisconsin and the Northwestern Part of Michigan. Each map is colored by county and these maps show some early county configurations. Vibrant original color. Fair to good antique condition with some minor stains, foxing, and smudges, and some small wrinkles. The strike on some pages in this atlas is a bit faint. Centerfold measures approx. 14 x 22 inches to the paper edges, while back side pages measure approx. 14 x 11 inches.
