Antique black and white engraving published in John Harris' "Navigantium atque Itinerantium Bibliotheca, or a Complete Collection of Voyages and Travels" published in 1744. The top image shows "A Chinese Prostitute riding in Publick with a Man going before, who makes known her Price." Lower image shows "A View of a large Street in one of the Trading Cities of China showing how their Signs are placed & Shops disposed." Very good condition with minor spotting in margin, dark clear strike, visible plate lines. Approx. 12.5 x 8.5 inches to plate lines
