1863

Maker: Dower / Weekly Dispatch Atlas / Cassell, Petter, and Galpin.

Antique uncolored map of the area around Paris, France, drawn by John Dower and published in "Cassell's Complete Atlas" (a.k.a. "The Weekly Dispatch Atlas"), by Cassell, Petter, and Galpin, 1863. Detailed map that includes towns, cities, roads, railroads, forests, bodies of water, and more. The insets in the four corners show St. Germain en Laye and its Environs; The Environs of Saint Cloud; The Environs of Fontainebleau; The Environs of Versailles. This map was published as four separate sheets. Two sets of these sheets have been joined and these can be joined together to create one large map, or they can be framed separately. If you wish for the sheets to be joined, please contact us or leave a note in the comments box when checking out on our secure website. Good condition with some small seam separations (repaired with what appears to be archival tape), some tiny spots, some edge wear. Each double sheet measures approx. 13 x 34.75 inches to the paper edges.
