Antique page from The Illustrated London News, September 8, 1855. In August 1855, Queen Victoria made a historic State Visit to Paris, the first time a British monarch had visited the French capital in over 400 years. This was shortly before the second spire was built- it was unveiled in 1859. Fair to good condition with minor signs of age. Printed text on verso bled through the paper on the left side. Could be hand-colored by our professional colorist for an additional cost (please contact us if interested). Page measures approx. 11 x 16 inches.
