Antique hand-colored map published by the SDUK/Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge. Interesting features: The Northwest Territory and the Maine border before the Webster–Ashburton Treaty of 1842 established the final boundary between the countries (this shows the British claim). Shows the United States east of the Mississippi, and parts of Canada, and includes the Census of 1830, and documentation on the Erie Canal, the Rideau Canal, the Welland Canal, the Pennsylvania Canal, and the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal. Very good overall antique condition with one light crease, 12.25 x 15.5 inches.
