Antique hand colored map of the US from Butler's Atlas of Modern Geography, published by Longman in 1842. Drawn and engraved by Hall. Colored by state. Includes early Wisconsin/ what was left of the Northwest Territory after much of the area had been divided into states. Good condition with some toning, a few tiny spots, minor stains in margins, and some slight image transfer aka ghosting. Small seam separation at left side that goes past the border line (archivally repaired). With a center fold as issued in the atlas. Measures Approx. 9.25 x 7.25 inches to the neatline and 8.5 x 11 inches to the paper edges.
