Maker: Documentary History of the State of New York

Antique map of part of New York, from the Massachusetts border to the Hudson River. This is a reprint of a 1798 map by John Wigram, copied from the original by Richard H. Pease, published in the Documentary History of the State of New York, 1850. Includes Germantown, Clermont (which wraps around Germantown), and a large Livingston, with Ancram and Copake Lake. Shows churches, houses with property owners' names, roads, rivers, mills, school houses, and more. In the lower right is the East Town Oblong, the result of a boundary dispute with Connecticut. With folds as issued. Very good condition with some very minor spots. Measures approx. 15.75 x 23 inches to the neatline.
