Maker: Magnus
Antique uncolored print showing a bird's eye view of Washington DC, published by Charles Magnus, 1857. This view prominently features Robert Mills' complex design for the Washington monument, including a ring of thirty columns at its base, with statues atop, and engravings on the outside of the obelisk that were all ultimately abandoned during its prolonged and complicated construction process. Good to Very good overall antique condition with toning and mild wrinkling of the paper, and a few spots of foxing. Image with caption measures approximately 5" x 7.5", and sheet size is approx. 11.75" x 9.25" overall.
