Matted antique hand-colored map of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Long Island, New York, by Sherman & Smith, 1843. Map is colored by county and includes the populations, at time of publication, of each of the three states shown in full, as well as the populations of some of the cities and towns. Good to Very good overall antique condition, with mild toning and wrinkling of the paper, as well as some spots of foxing. Map is matted with a light tan mat with black core. Map measure approximately 8.5" x 10.5" to the neatline, with map extending beyond the neatline at both sides. Matted to measure approx. 13" x 15.25" overall.
