Antique map of Rhode Island from the American Pocket Atlas by Mathew Carey, 1804 edition, this map engraved by W. Barker. Shows towns, main roads, rivers, lakes, mountains, etc. Dotted lines might be early county boundaries. Charming depiction of Narragansett Bay and a "Quicksand Pond" in Little Compton. Very good restored condition; this map has been archivally cleaned but retains some tiny stains. Measures approx. 7.5 x 5.75 inches to the neatline.
