Black and white early antique map of Rhode Island and Connecticut featuring towns, rivers and ponds. Includes a charmingly round Block Island, and the Oblong ceded to New York May 14th, 1731. From Morse's American Universal Geography, 1796, published by Thomas & Andrews. Originally drawn by H Harris, it was engraved by Hill for the publication. This map has been professionally and archivally cleaned and backed. Very good restored condition, this map has some signs of age including some wrinkles especially in the lower right, and some repaired separations along the folds. Measures approx. 7 1/2 x 13 inches.
