Antique hand-colored map of Texas by Mitchell, from "Mitchell's School and Family Geography," 1852. Published just seven years after Texas became the 28th state of the USA. Includes an inset map of Northern Texas, an inset map of the Vicinity of Galveston City, and some topographical detail. Good antique condition with some stains, mostly in the lower right. Matted. Measures approximately 8.25" x 10.75" to the neatline.
