It contains maps and other images derived from materials generated by both Union and Confederate military personnel during the American Civil War. The atlas was printed in 35 parts between 1891 and 1895. Printed color indicates topography and Union or Confederate locations. The Rappahannock River map and the Army of the Potomac map show the area near Fredericksburg, and the Middle Department map shows the area near Winchester VA. Very good condition with mild image transfer, a few minor spots/stains and a touch of foxing, and some staining and wear to the paper edges. Measures approx. 16 x 27 inches to the outer border lines.
