Antique map of North Carolina from the American Pocket Atlas by Mathew Carey, 1804 edition, this map engraved by W. Barker. Shows towns, main roads, rivers, lakes, mountains, etc. Large Alligator Swamp near "Pamticoe Sound" (Pamlico). Very good restored condition; this map has been archivally cleaned but retains some minor stains/tiny spots. Measures approx. 7.5 x 5.75 inches to the neatline.
