Hand colored antique coastal report chart by the US Coast Survey, published in 1851. Shows the entrance to Humboldt Bay in California with an inset map of the larger area of Humboldt Bay. Includes good coastal detail, bathymetric data, and tidal information. Hand coloring is recent. With folds, as issued. Very good overall antique condition with very mild toning throughout, which is heavier at the folds, and a few spots of minor foxing. Map measures approximately 17.25" x 14" (H x W) to the neatline.
