Antique hand-colored map from "Atlas of Physical Geography" published c.1850 by Petermann and Milner. This map of the world shows the distribution of rains, separating the globe into three sections; Northern Zone of Variable Precipitation, Zone of the Periodical (Tropical) Rains, and Southern Zone of Variable Precipitation. Engraved by J Dower. Very good antique condition with some minor foxing and some spotting around the margins. Measures approximately 10.5 inches by 14 inches.
