Genuine Antique Print
1839
Maker: Bartlett
Antique print showing a view of Lake George and Caldwell, NY. The village of Lake George was originally known as Caldwell, a name preserved in the Caldwell Presbyterian Church. Published in American Scenery Volume 2, by George Virtue, 1839. Very good overall antique condition with mild toning of the paper and a few spots of foxing/soiling. This print seems to have been cleaned. Page measures approximately 8.5" x 10.75" overall. Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire pattern- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the print- these are not in the print and we can try to take more photos if you are concerned.
