Antique hand-colored map, from S. Augustus Mitchell's "A New Universal Atlas, Containing Maps of the Various Empires, Kingdoms, States and Republics of the World, With a Special Map of Each of the United States, Plans of Cities, etc.", 1849. Early county boundaries and early towns (Nimrod in Shannon County?). Very good overall antique condition, slight toning that is darker at the paper edges, some minor soiling at center, some mild spots. Measures approx. 16 x 13 inches to the neatline.
