 Antique hand-colored map of Texas from Mitchell's School and Family Geography, copyrighted 1846 and published by Thomas, Cowperthwait & Co. in 1851. Shows the caravan route from Independence to Santa Fe, locations of "remarkable battles", a large Indian Territory with the names of some Native American peoples, and more.  Good condition with some mild toning and a few minor spots, mostly in the margins. Approx. 10.5 x 8 inches to the neatline.
