Antique map of part of the west coast of the US, part of a 3 sheet set, by the US Coast Survey, 1851. This map covers the coast from the Umpquah River in Oregon to Cape Mendocino in California, with Trinidad City, Humboldt Bay, Point St George, Cape Orford of Blanco, Cape Arago and the Coos River (spelled Kowes), and more. With sailing directions and recognition profiles of Trinidad Head and Cape Mendocino. Very good restored condition - cleaned and backed on light-weight paper. Some signs of age still visible, including small spots and the original folds. Slight waviness to the paper at edges. Approx. 19.5 x 17.5 inches to the neatline.
