Antique hand colored print showing a bird's eye view of The Capitol Building and its surroundings with a topographical map of portions of Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland. Map includes railroads & stations, roads, locations of notable battles, U.S. encampments, and a few DC landmarks- including Georgetown, The White House, the arsenal, and the "U.S. Asylum for Insane." This map notes the Battle of Bull Run with locations of US troops and Rebel Batteries. By Magnus, c. 1861. Good to Very good overall antique condition, with imperfect coloring (especially of the pink in the map) and mild toning of the paper. Page measures approximately 9.75" x 7.75" overall.
