Antique coast survey report chart of the entrance to Coos Bay in Oregon, shortly after it became a state in 1859. This chart covers the area from Gregory Point to North Beach and includes the locations that would later become Barview and Charleston. Includes water depths and sailing directions. Published by the United States Coast Survey in their Annual Report of 1861. Hand-colored by our professional colorist. Very good antique condition with a few small spots and mild toning. Light-weight paper. Measures approximately 14.5 x 17.5 inches to the neatline.
