Antique hand-colored map of a portion of the American Midwest- Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, North Dakota and South Dakota, Colorado, and Montana. By McNally, Published in "McNally's System of Geography," c. 1865. Includes topographical details and railroads. At the time of publication, Yellowstone National Park was not yet created. Also notes the Bad Lands, the Black Hills, the Great Sand Hills, and the sites of many battles as well as the years in which they occurred. Fair antique condition with most of the imperfections in the margins (can be hidden under a mat when framing), including overall toning, spots and stains, as well as some roughing/tearing of the outer edges of the paper. Measures approximately 8.5" x 10.75".
