Maker: Picturesque America.
Antique double-sided page with black and white engraved illustrations showing two views near Lake Forest, Illinois. Published in William Cullen Bryant's classic 1872 work, "Picturesque America." Very good overall antique condition with some mild toning throughout. The Shore image measures approximately 6.25" x 9" (H x W) and Lake Michigan measures approx. 5.75" x 6.25". Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire effect- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the print- these are not in the print and we can try to take more photos if you are concerned.
