Antique printed color map of Central Africa. Shows principal traveler's routes with a key to explain. Colors convey the different colonial ownerships in Africa at the time. It is interesting to compare this map with AFR161A, which is later- this map has much more unknown areas on it. Good condition. By T.B. Johnston, engraved, printed, and published by W. & A.K. Johnston in Johnston's General Atlas, 1879. Approximately 11.25" x 17.5" to the neatline. Map extends slightly past the neatline at the center of the top and bottom.
