Antique map of Cape Cod by George. H. Walker & Co., copyright 1892, 1902, and 1905. This collectible map includes Cape Cod and the Islands, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, and parts of Plymouth and Bristol counties. Towns are separated by a yellow line and the best roads are in red. This map shows the Cape Cod railroad system at its fullest extent, although Martha's Vineyard's railroad had already closed at this time. Includes Billingsgate Island and the lighthouse that was destroyed in 1915. This collectible and desirable map was issued as a folding map and finding this larger edition map in good original condition is quite rare. Lithograph printing with original color. Folds as issued. This map is being stored flat to reduce the folds. Original paper jacket is attached. Good to very good antique condition with some mild wrinkling, some small holes at fold intersections, some minor wear and small tears at the paper edges. Tight margins as issued. Measures approx. 29.75 x 27.5 inches to the neatline.
