c.1920s
Maker: Guilmin.
Antique subway map of Paris, by Guilmin, circa 1920s. The city walls are shown in green. This map shows the two different subway companies that were building lines at this time (Metropolitain and Nord-Sud). The map is not dated but it's year of publication can be estimated based on the fact that the Nord-Sud line A is complete on this map (opened 1916) but there is no suggestion of Line C. The Nord-Sud company failed at the beginning of the 1930s and was absorbed into the Metropolitain. Original vibrant printed color. Folded as issued. This map is in very good overall antique condition. No margin at bottom. Map unfolded measures approximately 5.25 x 6.75 inches to the paper edges.
