Antique printed-color map from 1922 of the southern polar regions of the world. At the time of this map, the coast of the continent of Antarctica was only partially known, although some explorers had made it to the South Pole. Some explored areas are marked, as well as the limit of pack ice, explorers routes with dates, and soundings. Very good antique condition with mild toning that is darker at the paper edges, some minor smudges/stains, some waviness to the antique paper. Measures approx. 16.25 x 21.5 inches (measured to neatline.)
