Genuine Antique Map
1934
Maker: S. Jerome Hoxie / Connecticut League of Women Voters
Antique map of Fairfield county, Connecticut by S. Jerome Hoxie and published by the Connecticut League of Women Voters. This wonderful pictorial map shows historical drawings with informational notes about the place of interest. Includes famous places, birthplaces, and notable scenic locations. This map was hand-colored by a previous owner and under the title, which is an hourglass, the colorist wrote in brown ink "Colored by A. W. Upham." Good antique condition; this map was mounted on a board and it has some wear and spots mostly in the margins. Overall toning. It should frame nicely. Measures approx. 17.5 x 15.25 inches to the border line.
