Antique map showing the English Channel, engraved for Malham's Naval Gazetteer, published by Allen & West, 1795. Features the coasts of England and France with harbors, towns, counties, and more. Depth soundings appear offshore with a decorative compass at the center of the rhumb lines in the channel. Measures approximately 7.5 x 12.25 inches. Very good overall antique condition- restored, cleaned. Water staining is still slightly visible. Some slight image fading. Paper has a waviness.
