Antique hand colored geology map of Massachusetts by Edward Hitchcock, 1841. This map shows the geological constitution of the state, including such materials as Metamorphic Slate, Diluvium, and Plumbago. Very good restored condition with minor image transfer. Has been cleaned and backed with tissue. Had folds as issued but they have been flattened when the map was backed.
