Antique printed color pictorial map of Newport RI by A. Hartley G. Ward, 1946. This was a Chamber of Commerce map and apparently local businesses could produce versions of the map with their own advertisements on it and some examples have information on the back. This map was not sponsored by another company and is blank on the back, suggesting that it may have been one of the earliest iterations. Small illustrations of buildings are scattered throughout and a key in the lower left corresponds to the numbers in the center of town. With folds as issued. Very good condition with some creasing at the fold lines. Measures approx. 15.5 x 23.25 inches to the rope border. **SOLD**
