Antique map showing parts of Maine and Canada from Jedediah Morse's Universal Geography published in 1796. This was before Maine was a state (granted statehood in 1820), and when Prince Edward Island was called Isle of St John. Along the east side of the area labeled Washington County it says "Eastern Boundary of the United States." Casco Bay, Portland, and Mount Desert are all noted. Recent hand color. Very good condition, matted. Measures approx. 7 x 9 inches to the neatline.
