Antique hand colored map of the Cape Verde Islands off the northwestern coast of Africa, by Kitchin, c. 1750. Map features a decorative cartouche and compass rose, and includes the locations of large coastal rocks, ports, points, bays, mountains, and coastal cities. Visible plate mark. Good overall antique condition with mild toning and foxing of the paper, some roughing of the outer edges, and some misplaced ink at the lower left of the map.
