High quality giclee reproduction of an antique map showing southern New England, including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and parts of Connecticut and New Hampshire. The original map was published in The Universal Magazine in October of 1775 (vol. 57, p. 169). Features of interest include the irregular shape of Cape Cod, where Wellfleet is listed as Belinsgate (which would later become Billingsgate), a pre-fill view of Boston, where Charlestown is listed as being "in ruins", and a camp icon near Worcester noting "March of the Provincials". Revolutionary War Era. Approx. 12 x 15.5 inches. Measured to the edges of the printed area. Paper may be larger but can be trimmed as needed.
